Businesses know a lot but it’s impossible to know everything about the Americans with Disabilities Act. We know that you do not intend to read everything found on the government website, and to be honest the website isn’t user friendly. So, we have taken the time to provide the information to you directly through this Informational Links page.
Remember, we did not write nor pass the Americans with Disabilities Act; however we are all responsible to ensure that the law is adhered to. Environments and settings that fall under the law are all medical, legal, and dental offices, public and secondary educational environments, the job site, public meetings and events, mental health/hospitals, as well as media outlets and programming. As wheelchair ramps, extra wide doorways, and Braille have become common place across the U.S., so should accessibility for the deaf/hearing impaired through American Sign Language interpreters under Title III - Section 36.303 of the ADA law.
